1. Name & Concept

Q: Why is it called “white rabbit” or “rabbit”?
A: Inspired by the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, the name embodies curiosity and exploration — an invitation to dive down the rabbit hole and see the world from a new perspective. And yes, we love animals.

Q: What’s the purpose of this device, and why combine these functions?
A: rabbit combines lighting, camera, and speaker—the three most commonly used ceiling-mounted devices. Normally, people would need to purchase and install multiple separate devices, along with all the wiring. With rabbit, you only need one device and a single power socket, simplifying setup and reducing clutter. These functions work simultaneously, allowing rabbit to deliver a richer, more immersive indoor experience. Its movement and recognition capabilities eliminate the need for traditional switches, offering multiple lighting effects and a more responsive environment. With embedded AI features, rabbit® redefines how we interact with indoor spaces, making it convenient, efficient, and fun.

Q: Why a lighting that moves and follows you, and what’s the benefit?A: In lighting design, three key factors matter: angle, brightness, and color temperature. Most products on the market address only one or two of these, which limits flexibility—often requiring multiple lights in a room for different purposes (for example, a ceiling light vs. a desk lamp—they differ in position, brightness, and beam). rabbit solves this by being a moving, individually controllable light source. You can freely adjust position, brightness, color temperature, and even the type of lighting—reflection, ambience, focus, or entertainment lighting—to create exactly the effect you need. This makes it one of the most powerful and versatile lighting products available today.

2. Movement & Tracking

Q: Does rabbit follow people as they move?
A: Yes. Built-in algorithms detect movement and automatically follow users, keeping lighting stable and focused.

Q: What happens if two people walk in opposite directions in a room?
A: The device positions itself in the middle, balancing each person’s movement to ensure equal lighting coverage. Additionally, rabbit has a built-in advanced position detection and posture recognition system, so if one person is sitting at a desk, it will prioritize staying with them to maintain stable illumination.

Q: I have pets in my room. Will rabbit be affected by animals running around?

A: rabbit’s movement and recognition system is designed to detect and follow human users, not animals. While your pets may move around, the device prioritizes people to maintain stable lighting and focus. This ensures your lighting remains consistent and is not distracted by pets in the room.

Q: Does it make noise when it moves?

A: rabbit moves very quietly — the sound is similar to a rolling office chair gliding across the floor.

3. Power & Installation

Q: Does rabbit run on battery?
A: No. It’s powered through a flexible carbon-fiber rail called airpath, allowing direct power supply from the foot and easy installation.

Q: How many airpaths does the system support?
A: The maximum designed range is 8 meters, although in our testing, configurations using 4–7 airpaths (plus both base lengths, totaling 38 cm) provide optimal motion performance and coverage for most rooms. If you have a longer, narrow-shaped room (for example, around 10 meters), you don’t have to cover the entire length — simply install about 7 meters diagonally between the two narrower walls. rabbit’s lighting can comfortably cover at least 3 meters from its path.

We highly recommend measuring your space before purchasing.

For extended or professional installations, the system can support up to 10 meters; however, an additional support point may be required at the midpoint, and under such configurations, rabbit may not be able to traverse the entire track length.

Q: How do I install rabbit, and does it require tooling or wiring?
A: We provide a detailed step-by-step installation video to guide you through the process. rabbit can be installed between any two surfaces within approximately 8 meters, at a comfortable hand-raised height. It does not require additional wiring, as it is powered through a simple wall-socket plug-in. 

Depending on your wall material, you may need a screwdriver or power driver to securely attach the feet. We recommend installing on wood, concrete, brick, or thick drywall. For thin drywall—especially installations over 5 AirPaths in length—be extra cautious, as there may be significant pulling force on the feet.

Q: How much can the airpath track bend?

A: In our testing, a 4-meter airpath can accommodate a 1-meter bend without compromising performance. Constructed from carbon fiber, the airpath should not exceed this bending ratio, as doing so may introduce excessive mechanical stress and risk breakage. rabbit’s feet can be mounted at various angles, and you can install one foot first to pre-test the track configuration, ensuring it fits your installation space.

Q: Can the two feet be installed at different heights? Can rabbit slide along tracks on a slope?

A: Yes. rabbit’s motion mechanism features an automatic locking system, so it won’t slide even if the track is tilted. Of course, we recommend installing it at the same height, but in tests, rabbit can operate stably even with an approximate 30-degree height difference between the two ends.

Q: Can airpath move between rooms, or do I need one for each room?
A: It depends on your home layout. Doors and ceilings may block its path, so typically, one per room works best. Placing it in your most-used space is recommended.

Q: What happens if something blocks the airpath? For example, tall furniture or bookshelves. Can I control rabbit’s movement range?
A: rabbit has proximity sensors on both sides underneath the unit. If anything is blocking the airpath underneath—such as a bookshelf or even someone’s head—it will automatically stop. Just make sure there are no obstructions above the airpath when installing it. Although we don’t recommend it, in our testing environment we sometimes hang a sheet of paper underneath the airpath to intentionally block and control its movement range.

Q: Is there a transparent airpath option?
A: No, but a white version is available.

4. Privacy & Data

Q: I’m worried about privacy. Does rabbit collect my privacy data?
A: As both inventors and users, we take privacy seriously. All recognition features run locally on the device, so it works even offline. Video transmissions use encrypted, industry-standard protocols—just like other smart home cameras—to ensure your data remains secure and private. All recorded footage and data can be easily saved, deleted, and managed directly through your app.

Q: Does rabbit run on Wi-Fi? What kind of functions require Internet, and what information does it send and receive?

A: All core functions — including motion tracking, lighting, speaker output, and basic interactions — are processed locally on the device. This ensures real-time performance, privacy, and allows rabbit to continue working even when offline. 

Functions that require an Internet connection include live panoramic view via the app, smart voice features, software updates, and remote app control. No personal video, audio, or sensitive data is transmitted without your consent.

Q: Does rabbit store video recordings? If so, for how long?
A: Yes. Video recordings are stored locally only when record mode is enabled — typically for 2–4 weeks, depending on your recording settings. All videos can be accessed only through your linked account to ensure privacy. For extended storage, optional cloud services are available, offering longer retention periods and using industry-standard encryption to maintain data privacy and security.

5. Outdoor Use & Hazardous Environments

Q: Can rabbit be installed outdoors?
A: Yes, but only under shelter. The device is not waterproof and must be protected from rain, dust, and direct sunlight.

Q: Can rabbit be used in hazardous or explosive environments, such as mining sites?
A: No. rabbit is not designed or certified for use in hazardous or explosive environments.

6. AI & Smart Features

Q: Can I talk to rabbit like an AI assistant?
A: Yes. It supports conversational interaction and will continue receiving updates for advanced AI features, including gesture-based gaming, health monitoring, and smart home connectivity.

Q: Is there an extra cost for these AI features?
A: Currently, AI features are free. 

Q: Will rabbit integrate with smart home systems like Siri or Nest?
A: Yes. Integration with Siri and Nest is planned. It also features 360° VR cameras and an AI speaker for conversational interaction.
